How to Pay Tala in the Philippines: Reference Number and Payment Help
Official help sources checked 2026-11-06 by the LoanPH247 Editorial Team
Already have a Tala loan? Start with your own Tala account and its current payment instructions. This guide helps existing borrowers repay and resolve payment problems; it is not an application guide.
Editorial note: LoanPH247 is an affiliate comparison service, not Tala or a payment processor. Do not send us money or account details. This is desk research of official help pages, not a test payment or an inspection of your account.
How to pay through the Tala app
In Tala’s repayment instructions, the process is:
- Sign in and choose “Make a payment”.
- Set the payment amount and choose a channel.
- Read that channel’s instructions, including the reference and its expiry.
- Complete payment as instructed, then check the notification and balance in Tala.
The page lists GCash, Maya, PalawanPay and ShopeePay, plus 7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop and ECPay outlets. Confirm your available option in the app. For GCash, select it there first and follow the resulting directions; this guide does not guess a biller name or wallet menu path.
Before confirming, compare the amount with your account’s payment schedule and review any displayed channel charge. We do not quote a universal fee or posting time. A payment attempt or receipt alone should not be treated as proof that the loan is fully settled.
Use the exact reference for your account and selected channel
Tala’s reference-number help locates the number in the instructions after you enter an amount and choose a channel. Copy it exactly. Do not assume your mobile number, a previous receipt’s transaction ID or another borrower’s reference is the correct payment reference.
- Compare every digit with your current instructions before authorizing payment.
- Check validity; do not assume an old reference remains usable.
- Never use a reference copied from a public guide, comment or unsolicited message.
The same official help page warns against repayment approaches through Facebook, Messenger or free-email accounts. If instructions conflict, pause and verify with Tala through its official help center.
Paid, but your Tala balance has not changed?
Tala’s repayment help says to send proof of payment through its linked support route if the expected processing period has passed. It does not specify one period for every channel.
- Keep the receipt and check the transaction status with the channel you used.
- Check Tala again against the processing guidance for that payment.
- If unresolved, open the official repayment help page above and use its support link. Keep the date, amount, channel and receipt available for investigation.
As a precaution, check the first transaction before retrying a debit. Do not share a PIN, password or OTP, and do not post receipts or account identifiers publicly. This guide cannot confirm a payment, reverse a transfer or promise a resolution deadline.
Cannot access the Tala app?
Tala’s no-app payment instructions direct borrowers to paymentsupport@tala.ph to request a manual payment link. The page gives an expected response within 24 hours, not a guarantee of payment posting. The generated reference expires; ask support for a replacement if needed. It also advises updating your contact number after payment.
Verify this address on the linked official page before sending information. Do not use a payment link from a stranger. If the due date is near or you cannot afford the scheduled payment, explain that to Tala and ask what options apply to your account; do not assume a request changes the due date or charges.
